Two-part documentary about fascism and anti-fascism in the 30,000-strong Italian population in Britain between 1920 and 1945, focusing on the London area of Clerkenwell, known at the time as “Little Italy”. Part one relates the history of this community up to the beginning of the war, using archive film, photographs and interviews with Italians who witnessed and took part in political activity at the time.
